County Football Final
Hard luck to our gallant U13 footballers who were beaten by a very strong Lorrha side in Templetuohy on November 25th. The girls and boys left it all out on the pitch and should be very proud of themselves.

Well done to our white and blue teams who participated in the South Tipperary FAI Soccer tournament in Cahir on the 1st March. Both teams played very well and were unlucky not to progress to the next stage.

Autumn Cycling

Throughout October, Children in the senior room enjoyed a cycling programme, learning new skills and participating in cycling safety activities in the school yard.

Well done to all the senior room who participated in the South Tipperary schools cross country in Marlfield on October 26th. The weather was very kind to us, but the ground was very mucky in places. Zoe Thompson came in 4th place and led the 3rd and 4th class girls to the bronze medal. Tristan Bryne did well to come 6th place in a very competitive 3rd and 4th class boys race. Aobhnait Ryan and Ruby Holohan ran brilliantly to come in the top 25. Ewan Byrne finished in 2nd place leading the boys 5th and 6th class to 5th place in the team section.

Football Challenge Matches
Children from 3rd-6th class were teamed up with children from Moyglass NS to take on Holy Trinity NS from Fethard in challenge football matches on June 15th in Fethard Town Park. Everyone gave their all in what was one of the hottest days of the year. All games were extremely competitive with Killusty/Moyglass winning two games.

Sports Day 2022

Sports Day in Killusty NS was held on Wednesday 8th of June. The day commenced with warn up activities and dance offs. Ben Swindlehurst joined us for some fun tag games and activities. This was followed by a short break before the customary races commenced. All the children participated in sprints, laps and fun novelty races such as - spud and spoon, sack race and the three legged race. A tasty lunch and water break was next on the list. This was followed by station activities - Spike Ball, dodge ball, parachute. The day finished off with a whole school dodge ball match. After a little light morning rain the weather held well for the rest of the day and much fun was had by all.

Rugby Blitz
Children from 3rd to 6th class made the short trip to Fethard Town Park on Thursday the 9th June, to take part in the 7-a-side non-contact rugby blitz organised by Munster Rugby. The children all performed brilliantly and won all four of their games against teams from Moycarkey NS and Ballyneale NS. Well done to everyone on a great day.
