School Tour 2023

On May 31st 2023, the highlight of the year arrived  - The School Tour! This year we ventured across the border and enjoyed a lovely, sunny day in Castlecomer Discovery Park. It was an all-active affair. Children in the Senior Room enjoyed lots of games, boating, high circuit challenges and ziplines. Meanwhile, Junior Room children explored every inch of the playground, completed a forest scavenger hunt, mastered a low-circuit challenge and bounced to their hearts delight in the bouncing nets. More fun-time followed in the Playstation, Kilkenny - climbing frames and slides galore.  A tremendous day all round.

Pedigree Day

On May 19th 2023, children from Killusty N.S. made their way to Clonmel to enjoy the annual Pedigree Day hosted by the Museum in association with the Clonmel Show.  Children enjoyed spending time with the animals, observing horse shoes being made by the local black smith, watching a sheep being sheared, figuring out stem problems and observing activities of old, such as spinning.
